Do you have a County Court Judgment?

Why should your financial past get in the way of your financial future? If you've had a County Court Judgment (CCJ) issued against you, you could still get an account that gives you access to facilities like online account management, Direct Debits and SMS text services.

When your CCJ was issued, you might not have realised how much it would impact on your finances. Credit cards and loans aren't the only things that a CCJ can get in the way of - as you've probably discovered, many bank accounts simply aren't available to people with a CCJ against their name.

Since the credit reference agencies will keep details of your CCJ for six years from the date your CCJ was recorded, this could be a bigger problem than you thought, for longer than you imagined. But there is a way forward.

An account for people with CCJs

At thinkmoney, we believe everyone has a right to an account. As long as you're a UK resident aged 18 or over, you can apply for a CCJ account with us.

As soon as we've confirmed your identity and received your completed application form, we can then open your CCJ account. We won't even have to carry out a credit check.

Of course, we're not the only ones offering accounts for people with CCJs and other 'bad credit' problems on their credit history. You may have heard of the basic bank accounts on offer to people with County Court Judgments, but the thinkmoney Personal Account offers a lot more than 'basic' services.

What makes thinkmoney's Personal Account special?

At thinkmoney, simply providing accounts for people with CCJs isn't enough. We take great pride in providing a personalised service that really helps you get back on top of your finances - and stay there.

So - what exactly makes thinkmoney's Personal Account special?

  • Budgeting made simple
With your account, you get a personalised budgeting service: when your money goes into your account, we make sure there's enough set aside for your essential costs. That means you're free to spend the rest of your money without worrying about running short before the end of the month - helping to avoid the kind of missed payments that can lead to County Court Judgments and other problems.
  • Account fees made simple
With us, you know exactly what you're paying for your account. If you've been hit with unexpected bank charges for late payments or bounced cheques, you might welcome an account that charges a flat monthly fee of £14.50 (or £21.25 for a joint account) - and helps you steer clear of financial problems in the first place, rather than hitting you with extra costs when you're already struggling with your finances.

And that's not all. If you'd like to know more about how our CCJ account works, call us today or click here.
