What does a PFM do?

"Hi, my name is Mark. As a Personal Finance Manager, I'm here to be a single point of contact for all my clients - dedicated, reliable and always there for them. It can be hard for someone to open up and feel comfortable talking about something as personal as their debts, especially with someone they don't know. That's why it's so important to have a friendly and familiar voice at the end of the phone whenever they need advice or they're feeling unsure about their situation.

I treat all my clients as individuals, with individual needs. It's an essential part of the service I offer. People's circumstances can change so quickly, but my training and experience help me keep an eye on anything which might keep a client's programme from running smoothly. Since I understand their situation, I'm able to consider a whole range of potential solutions to their problems and help them identify the very best and most effective one.

Even when there aren't any major changes, I can call my clients regularly to chat about their incomings and outgoings, discuss anything that's troubling them and see if I can put their minds at ease.

I know how frustrating it is when you have to explain a problem to a different person every time you call; having your very own Personal Finance Manager prevents that from happening. Put simply, my job is to empower clients, to allow them to take back control, and to let them get on with their lives, safe in the knowledge that there is always someone who's on their side and working hard for them."
